Carlow County Council is not holding a mattress amnesty this year but there is a drop day nearby in Laois.
Carlow's local authority will host a hazardous waste drop off day later this summer.
But Senator Jennifer Murnane O'Connor has highlighted a mattress drop day not too far away in a neighbouring county.
