The late Declan Barron
The death has occurred of Declan Barron of “St Jude’s”, Railway Rd, Carlow.
Declan passed away peacefully, surrounded by his loving family on Christmas Eve, 2023 at Waterford University Hospital.
Beloved husband of Ann, much loved father of Niall, Brian and Darragh, cherished brother of David and Rosarie and adored son of the late Angela and Edward.
He will be sadly missed by his loving wife, sons, grandchildren Bradley, Amelia, Tim, Rose, Daniel, Oisín and Ben, brother, sister, brothers-in-law, sisters-in-law, daughter-in-law Sarah, Brian’s fiancée Deborah, uncles Donald and Liam, aunt Celine, nephews, nieces, extended family relatives and friends.

Reposing at his home, “St Jude’s”, Railway Road (Eircode R93 RX08) from 4pm-8pm on Tuesday (St Stephen’s Day) and from 2pm on Wednesday (December 27th), concluding with prayers at 8pm that evening.
Removal on Thursday at 10.30am to The Cathedral of the Assumption, Carlow, arriving for Funeral Mass at 11am.
Funeral afterwards will walk to Declan’s residence and then drive to Newlands Cross Crematorium, Dublin, for cremation Service at 2.30pm.
Family flowers only, donations, if desired, to Palliative Care Unit, Oak Ward, Waterford University Hospital.
The late Helen Fegan Joyce (née Smith)
The death has occurred of Helen Fegan Joyce (née Smith) of Killinure House, Tullow, Carlow.
Helen passed away pacefully on December 24th 2023 in her 97th year in the loving care of her family and nursed with great tenderness by the wonderful staff of Dargle Valley Nursing Home Enniskerry.
Beloved wife of the later Robert and of the late Jim and much cherished mother of Hillas, Loraine, Marianne, Peter and the late Vivienne, remembered with much love by her step family Paul, Jimmy, Ann, Brian and Fergus and by her daughter in law and sons in law and her beloved grandchildren Wendy, Robert, Timothy, Sarah and Thomas, deeply regretted by her nieces and nephews and many dear friends.

Reposing at Halligan’s Funeral Home, Station Road, Rathvilly (Eircode R93 C560) this Thursday, December 28th from 12.30pm until removal at 1.30pm to The Holy Trinity Church Ardoyne, Tullow, Co. Carlow (Eircode R93 D658) arriving for 2pm Funeral Service after which she will be laid to rest in the adjoining Churchyard.
No flowers. Donations can be made directly to Alone if preferred.
The late Sr. Cora Hayes
The death has occurred of Sr. Cora Hayes of Convent of Mercy, Leighlinbridge, Carlow and Graiguenamanagh, Co. Kilkenny.
Sr. Cora Hayes passed away peacefully on Christmas Day, 2023 in the gentle care of Beechwood Nursing Home Leighlinbridge.
Predeceased by her parents Myles P. and Margaret, by her brother Bertie, sister-in-law Margaret, grand-niece Katie and grand-nephew John. Sadly missed by her loving nieces Lisa and her husband Michael, Bernadette, Louise and her husband Owen, grand-nieces Niamh, Helen and Sarah, grand-nephews Paul, Liam and James, her Mercy Community and the community of Graiguenamanagh, cousins, relatives and friends.

Reposing in R. Healy & Son Funeral Home Pollerton Castle, Carlow R93 TC53 on Wednesday (Dec 27th) from 2pm followed by removal at 6.30pm to St. Lazerians’s Church, Leighlinbridge to arrive for 7pm. Funeral Mass on Thursday at 11am.
Burial afterwards in the adjoining cemetery.
The late Michael Lawlor
The death has occurred of Michael Lawlor of John Street, Tullow, Carlow and formerly of Eureka, Shillelagh Road, Tullow.
Michael passed away unexpectedly at home.
Pre-deceased by his parents Edward and Anne and brothers Edward and Pat. Deeply regretted by his heartbroken brothers and sisters, Mary, Anne, Margaret, Judy, Kathleen, James, John, Olive and Pauline, brothers-in-law, sister-in-law, nephews, nieces, extended family and friends.

Reposing at Byrne's Funeral Directors, The Square, Tullow, Co. Carlow (eircode R93 P4F4) on Thursday 28 December from 3pm - 6.30pm.
Removal will take place at 6.45pm to Church of The Most Holy Rosary, Tullow to arrive for Reception prayers at 7pm.
Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Friday at 11am, followed by burial in St. Patrick's cemetery, Tullow.
