The late Mary Bridget (Bridie) McNally (née McMahon)

The death has occurred of Mary Bridget (Bridie) McNally (née McMahon) of 8 St. Patrick’s Avenue, Carlow and Nottingham, England.

Bridie passed away December 25th 2023 at the Queen’s Medical Centre, Nottingham in her 93rd year.

Beloved wife of the late James McNally. Sadly missed by her loving sons James and Stephen, brother Oliver, sisters Helen Bourke, Christene Higgins and Rita McMahon, daughter-in-law Karen, grandson James, extended family, relatives and friends.

May Bridie Rest in Peace

Funeral Mass on Friday, (January 26th) in the Church of the Holy Family, Askea, Carlow (R93 AE39) at 11am.

Burial afterwards in Ballinabranna cemetery.

The late John Comerford

The death has occurred of John Comerford of High Street, Gowran, Co. Kilkenny/ Carlow.

John died peacefully in the loving care of the nurses and staff of St. Luke's Hospital, Kilkenny.

The late Timmy Kelly

The death has occurred of Timmy Kelly of 20 Fr. Cullen Tce., Rathvilly, Carlow.

Timmy passed away peacefully 21st January 2024 at Tallaght Hospital surrounded by his loving family.

Sadly missed by his loving wife Antoinette, daughter Tracey, son Paul, daughter-in-law Emma, grandchildren Robyn, Scott and Ruby, brother Donie, sisters Lena, Peg and Mary, uncles, brothers-in-law, sisters-in-law, nephews, nieces, neighbours, relatives and friends.

May Timmy Rest in Peace

Reposing at his residence on Monday 22nd January from 2pm concluding at 8pm.

House private thereafter.

Funeral arriving to St. Patrick’s Church, Rathvilly on Tuesday for 2pm Requiem Mass after which he will be laid to rest in Rathvilly Cemetery.

The late Michael Keyes

The death has occurred of Michael Keyes of Staplestown, Carlow.

Michael passed away peacefully January 20th 2024 in the wonderful, loving care of the District Hospital.

Beloved husband of Marion and much loved dad of Michaela, Peter and Emma. Sadly missed by his loving wife, son, daughters, sons-in-law John and Lung, grandchildren Alanna, Patrick, Eva, Billy and Seán, great-grandson Colin, Alanna’s husband Rudi, brothers-in-law, sisters-in-law, cousins, nephews, nieces, relatives and friends.

May Michael Rest in Peace

Reposing in R. Healy & Son Funeral Home Pollerton Castle, Carlow on Monday from 4pm concluding with prayers at 8pm.

Funeral Mass on Tuesday at 11am in St. Joseph’s Church, Tinryland.

Burial afterwards in the adjoining cemetery.

Family flowers only, please. Donations, in lieu, to the Friends of the District Hospital.

The late Caroline Whelan

The death has occurred of Caroline Whelan of Roncalli Place, Carlow Town, Carlow

Caroline passed away peaceful, at her home in London, surrounded by her loving family, on January 16th, 2024, after a short illness.

Predeceased by her brother Christopher and parents Christy and Mary Whelan..

She is survived by her daughter Tatum and two grandchildren Elijah and Sinead and also her 8 siblings Ann, Pauline, Bernadette, Carmel, Geraldine, Patsy, Brian and Paul.

Funeral to be held in London at a later date. Funeral arrangements will be announced later on Rip.ie

The late Kathleen Kane (née White)

The death has occurred of Kathleen Kane (née White) of Cheshire, England and formerly of Killeshin Road, Co. Carlow.

Kathleen passed away peacefully on Thursday, 18th January 2024.

Predeceased by her husband Billy. Kathleen will be lovingly remembered and sadly missed by her son Stephen, daughter-in-law Kirsty and grandson Rudy, brothers Bobby and Seamus, sister Sheila, brother-in-law Seán, nieces and nephews, extended family, neighbours and friends.

A Memorial Mass for Kathleen will be celebrated at St. Clare’s Church, Graiguecullen, on Sunday, 28th January at 11.30am.
