'A great man for jokes and chats' Tributes paid for local Graiguecullen man

Billy Nolan - April 14th 2024

Tributes are pouring in following the death of Billy Nolan of Coon West, Kilkeeny and Graiguecullen, Carlow, formerly Flight Hawk Security on April 14th 2024.

Billy passed away at St Luke's Hospital, Kilkenny surrounded by his loving family.

Beloved husband of the late Columba. Sadly missed by his loving son Billy, daughter Joanne, brothers Michael, Jack and Tony, daughter-in-law Jackie, Joanne’s partner Joe, grandchildren Cody, Kayla and Emma, brothers-in-law, sisters-in-law, nephews, nieces, relatives and many friends.

Tributes have been paid on the condolences section of Rip.ie and read as follows: "Joanne & Billy, I'm so very sorry for the loss of your Dad. Billy was a huge part of my childhood and he will be missed. A great man for the jokes and chats. He was a true gentleman and a great friend to Mam and Dad. Rest in Peace Billy xx"

Another reads: "Our sincere sympathies to the Nolan family on the sad passing of Billy. He was a true gentleman and it was a privilege to know him. May he rest in peace."

And finally: "On behalf of St Martins GAA Club we extend our deepest sympathy to Joanne & Billy and extended Nolan Family on the passing of Billy, our thoughts and prayers are with you all at this very sad time."

Funeral Arrangements

Reposing in Carpenter Bros Funeral Home, Graiguecullen, Carlow (R93 ET80) on Wednesday (April 17th) from 4pm concluding with prayers at 8pm. Removal on Thursday morning to St. Clare’s Church, Graiguecullen to arrive for funeral Mass at 11am. Burial afterwards in St. Mary’s Cemetery
