Brigid Farrell - Friday 17th May 2024
Tributes have been paid following the death of Brigid Farrell, (née Keating), of Slate Row, Hacketstown, County Carlow.
Brigid passed away peacefully on the 17th of May 2024 at St Luke's Hospital Kilkenny.
Beloved wife of Michael, loving mother of Stuart, Neil, Clare and Michelle, and sister of Liam and Margaret. Sadly missed by her loving husband, family, grandchildren Dylan, Mila, Aobha, Rowan and Annie, sons-in-law Joss and Tom, daughter-in-law Ludmila, brothers-in-law, sisters-in-law, nephews, nieces, extended family, relatives, neighbours and friends.
Tributes were paid on the condolences section of Rip.ie and read as follows: "My thoughts and prayers are with you all at this sad time. Clare’s stories shared with me of Brigid over the years are that of a wonderful human of which the memories shall continue to shine in the hearts of her family."
Another reads: "Sincere condolences to Michael and all the Farrell and Keating families on Brigid's sad passing. She was such a lovely lady, so caring and thoughtful. She always had time for a chat. May Brigid rest in peace."
A third tribute reads: "Sincere sympathy to Michael and family on the very sad passing of Brigid. Brigid was a great character, so kind and caring and always had time for a chat. Rest in peace Brigid."
Funeral Arrangements
Reposing at Doyle's Funeral Home, Killaveney, Tinahely (Y14 DA52) on Monday afternoon from 3pm, concluding with prayers at 8pm. Funeral arriving to St. Brigid's Church, Hacketstown on Tuesday, via Clonmore Road, for Funeral Mass at 12 noon, with burial afterwards in Hacketstown Cemetery. Funeral Mass can be viewed on www.hacketstownparish.ie.
Family flowers only please. Donations, if desired, to St. Vincent De Paul.
Brigid had a colourful life so we would ask that you wear bright colours for the Funeral.
