Tributes paid following the passing of Peg McGrath (née Walsh) of Broughillstown, Rathvilly and SignaCare, Killerig, County Carlow.
Peg passed away on the 25th of June 2024 peacefully in the loving care of all at SignaCare.
Predeceased by her loving husband Denis, daughter Marian (Cassells) son-in-law Joe (Harbourne) sister Martha and brothers Davy, Mick, John and Bill. Sadly missed by her loving daughters Betty and Sheelagh, sons-in-law Jim and Seamus, sister Sarah, brothers Paddy, Alex and Miley, sisters-in-law, adored grandchildren Kenn, Jamie, Jimmy, Stephen, Eve, Joseph and Aaron, great-grandchildren, nephews, nieces, neighbours, relatives and friends.
Tributes have been paid on the condolences section of RIP.ie and read as follows:
"You will be forever remembered by Alex, Alan, Mark, Rachael and family. You were always the perfect host, giving precious time, great conversation and laughs. Thank you and may your soul rest in peace. "
Another reads: "Sending deepest sympathies to all the McGrath family especially Kenn & Jamie, such wonderful gran to them over the years, also to Brid, Natalie, Misha, Layla, Isibeal and Rory on the loss of their great gran, she'll be sadly missed at any of the family occasions. Rest in peace Peg."
Funeral Arrangements
Reposing in Halligan’s Funeral Home, Station Road, Rathvilly (Eircode R93 C560) on Thursday evening from 5pm concluding at 8pm. Funeral arriving to St. Patrick’s Church, Rathvilly on Friday morning for 11am Requiem Mass after which she will be laid to rest with Denis in Rathvilly Cemetery.
