Tributes paid to Carlow native who was a 'Kind and gentle woman' following her passing

Mary Kenny (née Horan) - Tuesday 9th July 2024

Tributes have been paid following the passing of Mary Kenny (née Horan) of 46 Mullaunmore, Ballon, Co. Carlow and formerly of Shankhill, Co. Dublin.

She passed away peacefully surrounded by her loving family on June 9th 2024 at St James' Hospital, Dublin.

She will be sadly missed by her loving family Ollie, Steven, Gillian and Michelle, her adored grandchildren Ryan, Nicole, Leah, Hannah, Emily and Sophie, cherished siblings Martin, Ann, Edward, Patricia, Jim and Bernie, son-in-law Kevin, daughter-in-law Grainne, brothers-in-law, sisters-in-law, nephews, nieces, relatives and friends.

Tributes have been paid on the condolences section of Rip.ie and read as follows:

"Sincere condolences to the Horan and Kenny families on Mary’s passing. Mary was a beautiful kind gentle woman with a wonderful sense of humour. May she rest in peace."

Another reads: "Deepest Sympathy to the Kenny family and extended family on the very sad passing of Mary. She was a really nice person. May she rest in peace."

A third user writes: "Our deepest sympathy to Steven, Gillian and Michelle on the passing of your lovely mum. We have fond memories of her when she visited Monaghan for special occasions. May she rest in peace."

Funeral Arrangements 

Reposing at her home, 46 Mullaunmore, Ballon, Co. Carlow (Eircode R93 K282) on Thursday, July 11th, from 3pm, concluding with Prayers at 7.30pm that evening. Removal on Friday morning at 10.30am to Saints Peter & Paul Church, Ballon, arriving for Funeral Mass at 11am.

Burial afterwards in Ballon Cemetery.
