Tributes paid to Carlow man who was 'always a pleasure to meet' following his passing

Eamonn Coughlan - Friday 26th July 2024

Tributes paid following the passing of Eamonn Coughlan of Bawnree, Old Leighlin, Co. Carlow and formerly of Cruttenclogh, Co. Kilkenny.

Eamonn passed away suddenly but peacefully at his home on July 26th 2024.

Predeceased by his parents John and Mary, brothers Tom and John.

Eamonn, beloved husband of Chris and adored father of Mary, John, Pat, Breda, Eddie and Mairead.

Deeply regretted by his heartbroken wife, sons, daughters, sons-in-law Roger, Roddy and George, daughters-in-law Cathy, Annette and Anita, grandchildren Cathal, Shane, Shauna, Paraic, Liam, Arran, Jodi, Georgie, Ava, Nigel, Connor, Martha, Harriet and the grandchildren's partners, great-granddaughter Sadie, sisters Kathleen, Lily and Staha, brother Donal, brothers-in-law, sisters-in-law, nephews, nieces, relatives and his many friends.

Tributes paid on the condolences section of Rip.ie and read as follows: 

"Deepest sympathy to Chris and family at this very sad time may Eamonn rest in peace. A true gentleman who was always a pleasure to meet."

Another reads: "Our deepest sympathies to Chris and all the Coughlan families on the sad loss of Eamonn. Thinking of you all at this difficult time and keeping you in our thoughts and prayers. May Eamonn Rest In Peace."

A third user writes: "Sincere sympathy to Chris n the family on the sudden passing of Eamon he was a lovely man. May you all find strength from your many memories with him to help to get through your great loss.
May Eamon rest in peace."

Funeral Arrangements

Reposing at his home (Eircode R93 XE33) on Tuesday.

Removal on Wednesday morning to arrive at Saint Lazerian's Church, Leighlinbridge for 11am Requiem Mass,

followed by burial in Leighlinbridge Cemetery.

Family flowers only please.

Donations if desired to St. Clare's Hospitality Kitchen, Carlow.
