Sean O'Shea - Wednesday 9th October 2024 - Ballickmoyler Road, Graiguecullen, Carlow / Laois
Tributes have been paid following the passing of Sean O'Shea of Ballickmoyler Road Graiguecullen and formerly of St Fiacc's Terrace.
Sean passed peacefully at his home, following a long illness borne with strength and dignity on the 9th October 2024.

Beloved father of John, Derek, Adrian, Majella, Clodagh and Susan. Sean will be sadly missed by his loving sons, daughters, sister Chrissie, grandchildren, great-grandchildren, sons in law, daughters in law, brother in law, sister in law, nieces, nephews, relatives and wide circle of friends. Predeceased by his wife Moira, brothers Bernie and Tommy, sisters Maggie, Mary and Jean
Tributes have been paid on the condolences section of Rip.ie and read as follows:
"I am saddened to hear of Sean’s passing, albeit after a long illness. My deepest condolences to John, Derek, Adrian, Majella, Clodagh, Susan, and the broader O'Shea family. I got to know Sean through rackets, a legend of the sport & a beacon of light to all who played the game. His genuine warmth, great sense of humour, infectious laughter, and compassionate nature brought joy to every game. An excellent motivator, he had a remarkable ability to make everyone feel seen, heard, and valued. Go raibh leaba i measc na Naomh ag Sean."
Another reads: "So sorry to hear of Sean's passing. Condolences to all the O Shea family at this very sad time.A lot of great years playing racquets in CY, a game he truly loved. Rest in Peace Sean, an absolute pleasure to have known you."
Funeral Arrangements
Reposing in Lacey`s Funeral Home, John St., Carlow (R93 R8P4) on Thursday, 10th October 2024, from 3pm until 8pm with prayers at 7.30pm. Removal on Friday at 10.40am to St Clare's Church, Graiguecullen arriving for 11am Requiem Mass. Burial immediately afterwards in Killeshin Cemetery.
