Tributes paid to an 'absolute gent' following the passing of Carlow man

Patrick Collins - 15 New Oak Estate, Carlow Town, Carlow - Wednesday 23rd October 2024

Tributes have been paid following the passing of Patrick Collins of 15 New Oak Estate and formerly Bestfield, County Carlow

Patrick passed away surrounded by his loving family on the 23rd of October 2024 at Beaumont Hospital, Dublin.

Beloved husband of Ber, much loved father of Martina, Patrick, John, Darren, Ronan, Paula and Ciara and cherished brother of John, Helen and the late Betty, Sidney, Tom and Kathleen.

Tributes have been paid on the condolences section of Rip.ie and read as follows: 

"Deepest condolences to all of the Collins family, I'm so very sad to hear of the sad passing of Pat, We drove Poor Ber and Pat mad when we were children but he was always an absolute gent and he always stopped for a chat no matter where we met, thinking of Ber & all the family at this heartbreaking time"

Another reads:

"Our sincere condolences to The Collins Family especially John and Family on the passing of your beloved Brother
May he Rest in Peace"

Funeral Arrangements

Reposing at Carpenter Bros Funeral Home, Shamrock Sq., Carlow (Eircode R93 C863) from 4pm on Saturday, October 26th, concluding with Prayers at 7.30pm that evening. Removal from there on Sunday at 12.10pm to The Cathedral of the Assumption, Carlow, arriving for Funeral Mass at 12.30pm. Burial afterwards in St Mary’s Cemetery, Carlow.

Family Flowers only please. Donations, if desired, to The Stroke Unit, Beaumont Hospital.
