Tributes paid to an 'absolutely beautiful lady' following Carlow woman's passing

Ellen McGRATH (née Johnson) - Monday 28th October 2024

Tributes have been paid following the passing of Ellen McGrath, (née Johnson) of 2 Cois Abhann, Burrin Road, Carlow and formerly of Birmingham, England.

Ellen passed away peacefully surrounded by her loving family on the 28th October 2024.

Pre-deceased by her brothers and sisters.

Beloved wife of the late Michael.

She will be sadly missed by her loving brothers-in-law, sisters-in-law, nephews, nieces, extended family, relatives and friends.

Tributes have been paid on the condolences section of Rip.ie and read as follows: 

"Rest in peace Ellen an absolutely beautiful lady mick be so glad to be reunited with you rest easy together condolences to all Ellen’s family."

Another reads:

"Deepest condolences to all The McGrath family on the loss of Ellen . Im sure she is happy to be reunited with her beloved Mick , they really had a special bond . Rest easy together now and keep us all safe . RIP Ellen"

Funeral Arrangements

Reposing in Carpenter Bros Funeral Home, Shamrock Sq, Eircode (R93 C863) on Wednesday, October 30th, from 4pm, concluding with Prayers at 7pm that evening. Removal from there on Thursday at 9.45am to The Cathedral of the Assumption, Carlow, arriving for Funeral Mass at 10am. Burial afterwards in St Mary’s Cemetery, Carlow.
