Tributes paid to Carlow man who was the 'nicest fella' following his passing

Tributes have been paid following the passing of Edward (Eddie) Cahill of Conway Park, Bagenalstown, Co. Carlow.

Eddie passed away peacefully on the 10th of December 2024 surrounded by his loving family and the wonderful staff of Aut Even Hospital, Freshford Road, Kilkenny.

Pre-deceased by his parents Pat and Agnes. Eddie is survived by his sisters Georgina and Claire and son Enda, brothers-in-law David and Peter, aunts , uncles,neice and nephews Grace, Eoghan and Oisin.

Tributes have been paid on the condolences section of Rip.ie and read as follows: 

"So so sorry to hear of the loss of dear Eddie. Thinking of you Claire, Georgina, Stella and the extended Cahill family. Eddie was the nicest fella you could meet always up for the chats and the laughs. Many’s a laugh we had. May Eddie’s gentle soul rest in peace."

Another reads:

"Terribly sad news, gone way too soon. Eddie was such a lovely guy. My sincerest condolences to Georgina and Claire on your very sad loss. May Eddie rest in peace."
