Tributes paid to Carlow man who was 'always a gentleman and looked out for everyone'

Jimmy Williamson - 14 Avondale Drive, Hanover, Carlow - Wednesday 18th December 2024

Tributes have been paid following the passing of Jimmy Williamson of 14 Avondale Drive, Hanover, Carlow.

Jimmy Williamson passed away peacefully on December 18th 2024 at St Luke's Hospital, Kilkenny.

Predeceased by his wife Mary.

He will be sadly missed by his children, grandchildren, great-grandchildren, sons-in-law, daughters-in-law, sister Eileen, brothers-in-law, sisters-in-law, nieces, nephews, relatives and friends, especially his good friend Teresa.

Tributes have been paid on the condolences section of Rip.ie and read as follows: 

"Deepest sympathy to all of Jimmys family and friends.
We have fond memories of Jimmy from his time in The John Tyndall.
Always a gentleman and looked out for everyone.
May Jimmy rest in peace."

Another reads:

"Sincerest condolences to the Williamson family on the passing of Jimmy, i delivered his dinner to him every friday, Jimmy always had a kind word everytime i called. May Jimmy now rest in peace."

Funeral Arrangements

Reposing in Carpenter Bros Funeral Home, Shamrock Sq, Eircode (R93 C863) on Thursday, December 19th, from 5pm, concluding with Prayers at 8pm that evening. Removal from there on Friday at 9.45am to The Cathedral of the Assumption, Carlow, arriving for Funeral Mass at 10am. Burial afterwards in St Mary’s Cemetery, Carlow.
