Tributes paid to a 'lovely, gentle lady' from County Carlow following her passing

Elizabeth ( Lizzie ) Lawlor (née Murphy) - Barnahaskin, Rathanna, Borris, Carlow - Monday 20th January 2025

Tributes have been paid following the passing of Elizabeth ( Lizzie ) Lawlor (née Murphy) of Barnahaskin, Rathanna, Borris, Carlow.

Elizabeth passed away peacefully at St. Luke's Hospital, Kilkenny on the 20th of January 2025.

Beloved wife of the late Thomas, Pre-deceased by her brothers and sisters, Simon, Mary - Anne (Waters) Hannah (Caulfield), Catherine (Walsh) Bridie , Michael, Maggie (O' Higgins) and Jim.

Fondly remembered and sadly missed by her sorrowing nephews, nieces, relatives extended family and friends.

Tributes have been paid in the condolences section of Rip.ie and read as follows: 

"Our sincere sympathy to Kitty, Mary, Michael, and all Lizzie's family, neighbours, and friends at this sad time. She was a lovely, gentle lady. May she rest in peace."

Another reads: 

"Accept my sincere condolence on the death of Lizzie. May her gentle soul now find true peace in Heaven. May the family take consolation in the true belief that she whom they mourn is now with he Saviour Jesus. She was loved in life May she not be forgotten in death."

Funeral arrangements

Reposing at Joyce's Funeral Home, Borris from 12 noon to 8 pm on Tuesday. Funeral to arrive at St. Fortchern's Church, Rathanna for Requiem Mass at 11am on Wednesday followed by burial in the adjoining cemetery.
