Tributes have been paid following the passing of Seamus Coleman of Closutton, Bagenalstown, Carlow.
Seamus passed away peacefully at home on February 12th 2025
Predeceased by his loving wife Elizabeth (Betty), Seamus will be sadly missed by his sister Mary, son Jim, daughters Elizabeth (Regan) and Marion (Whelan), grandchildren Eilís and Eoin, sons-in- law John and Michael, nieces and nephews, relatives, neighbours and friends..
Tributes have been paid in the condolences section of Rip.ie and read as follows:
"Dearest Elizabeth, Marian and Jim I am saddened by the news of your dad’s passing. He was dearly loved by all in our family. We were blessed to have him in our lives for as long as we did. Today he is reunited with others he loves who have entered eternal bliss with our Heavenly Father. God bless and sustain each of you as you process this loss of your beloved father. I extend to each of you my deepest love and condolences."
Another reads:
"Sincere condolences to Elizabeth, Marion, Jim and the extended Coleman families on the death of you father. May the memories he has given you in life help ease the loss in the times ahead.
May perpetual light shine upon Seamus and may he rest in peace."
Funeral arrangements
Reposing in Somers Funeral Home, Bagenalstown (eircode R21 DY66) on Thursday afternoon from 4.pm, Concluding with funeral Prayers at 8.pm.
Removal on Friday morning arriving at St. Lazerian's Church, Leighlinbrudge for Funeral Mass at 11.am. Burial afterwards in the adjoining cemetery.
