Tributes paid to Myshall woman who was 'one in a million' following her passing

Nancy Butler (née Doyle) - Shangarry, Myshall, Carlow / Bunclody, Wexford - Wednesday 12th February 2025

Tributes have been paid following the passing of Nancy Butler née Doyle of Shangarry, Myshall, Carlow.

Nancy passed away  following a short illness at Saint Luke's Hospital, Kilkenny on February 12th, 2025.

Predeceased by her parents Owen & Ellen, sister Mary.

Nancy, beloved wife of Edward and much loved mother of Michael, Mary, Eileen, Anne, Celine & Mairead.

Deeply regretted by her heartbroken husband, son, daughters, daughter-in-law Statia, sons-in-law Pat Kinsella, Pat Nolan, Patrick Kavanagh, Graham Whelan & Tommie Hogan, "Golden Boy Steve", grandchildren Sarah, Sophie, Edward, Eoin, Roisín, Eddie, Caoimhe, Patrick, Dearbhla, Teresa, Orla, Jamie, Nancy, Hannah, Ellie, Evan & Josh, sisters Henny, Eileen & Cathy, brothers-in-law, sisters-in-law, nephews, nieces, relatives, her very kind neighbours & friends.

Tributes have been paid in the condolences section of Rip.ie and read as follows: 

"Deepest sympathy to Edward, Michael, Mary, Eileen, Anne, Celine, Mairead & the extended Butler family. Nancy was one in a million, the loveliest lady who always made time for a chat and a laugh. Thinking of you all at this heartbreaking time. The light of heaven to you Nancy, rest in peace"

Another reads:

"Our deepest sympathy to Edward, Michael, Mary, Eileen, Anne, Celine, Mairead & extended family on Nancy's sad passing. May her gentle soul Rest in eternal Peace."

Funeral arrangements

Reposing at her home (Eircode R21 F448) on Friday from 2pm concluding with prayers at 8pm.

Removal from her home on Saturday morning to arrive at The Church of the Holy Cross, Myshall for 11am Requiem Mass,

followed by burial in Lismaconly Cemetery, Myshall.
