RIP: Tributes paid to Carlow man who was an 'absolute gentleman' following his passing

Pat (Patrick) FARRELL - Mill Race, Burrin Rd, Carlow Town, Carlow - Saturday 8th March 2025

Tributes have been paid following the passing of Pat (Patrick) Farrell of Mill Race, Burrin Rd,, Carlow and formerly Avondale Drive, Carlow.

Pat passed away peacefully, on March 8th, 2025, at his home.

Beloved husband of the late Mary (Maire) and much loved father of Sharon, Thomas, Patrick, Lorraine, Ann Marie and the late John and Brendan and cherished brother of Seanie, Betty, Michael and the late Peggy, Maureen and Kathleen.

He will be sadly missed by his loving sons, daughters, grandchildren, great-grandchildren, sons-in-law, daughters-in-law, brothers, sister, brothers-in-law, sisters-in-law, nephews, nieces, relatives and friends.

Tributes have been paid in the condolences section of Rip.ie and read as follows: 

"We are very sorry to hear of Pats passing. He was an absolute gentleman , we loved to meet him and chat. You are all in our thoughts and prayers at this most difficult time.
Rest in peace Pat."

Another reads:

"We offer our condolences to all the Farrell families on the passing of your beloved Pat. A gentleman and work colleague at Irish Sugar over many years. May his gentle soul rest in eternal peace."

Funeral Arrangements.

Reposing at Carpenter Bros Funeral Home, Shamrock Sq., Carlow (Eircode R93 C863) from 4pm on Tuesday March 11th, concluding with Prayers at 7pm that evening. Removal from there on Wednesday morning at 10.30am to St Clare’s Church, Graiguecullen, arriving for Funeral Mass at 11am. Burial afterwards in St Mary's Cemetery, Carlow
