'Full of the joys of life' Funeral details for Carlow native killed in motorbike accident

Christian (Danish Paddy) Rasmussen passed away on the 9th of March 2025

Funeral arrangements have been announced and tributes have been paid following the passing of Carlow native Christian Rasmussen known as the 'Danish Paddy' following his sad passing in a motor bike accident on the M50 on the 9th of March 2025.

Predeceased by his brother Henrik. Sadly missed by his heartbroken father Soren, Soren’s partner Mary and the Quinlan family, uncle, aunts, cousins, relatives and his motorcycle friends especially those in the Devils Disciples MC.

Tributes have been paid on the condolences section of Rip.ie and read as follows:

"Paddy was a true gentleman and friend, always trying to help others. I was talking to him the morning of the accident and he was full of the joys of life. He will be sadly missed. May he rest in peace."

Another reads:

"Our deepest condolences to Christian's Family & Friends, we will forever cherish your visit to us on Wednesday last, we are heart broken, may you rest in peace."

Funeral Arrangements

Reposing in R. Healy & Son Funeral Home Pollerton Castle, Carlow (R93 TC53) on Thursday evening (March 13th) from 5pm to 7.30pm. Removal on Friday morning at 10.45am to the Church of the Holy Family, Askea, Carlow (R93 AE39) to arrive for funeral Mass at 11am followed by private cremation.

No flowers please.
