RIP: Tributes paid to 'very highly regarded' Carlow man following his passing

Pat Curran - Molaise Estate, Old Leighlin, Co. Carlow - Tuesday 11th March 2025

Tributes have been paid following the passing of Pat Curran of Old Leighlin, Carlow.

Pat passed away peacefully at St. Luke’s Hospital, Kilkenny, on Tuesday, 11th March, 2025.

Predeceased by his father Martin, mother Nora, sister Bridge, sister-in-law Mary and brother-in-law Pat. Pat will be lovingly remembered and sadly missed by his sisters Sally, Mary and Anne, brothers Frank, Martin, John and Kevin, brothers-in-law Tom and Michael, sister-in-law Valerie, his nieces Kate, Ciara, Clare, Maria and Lyndsay, nephews Patrick, Paul and Martin, grand-nieces Robyn, Sadie and Summer, grand-nephews Charlie, Danny and Joey, extended family, kind neighbours and friends.

Tributes have been paid in the condolences section of Rip.ie and read as follows: 

"Deepest sympathy to Pat’s family on his sad passing. May he Rest in Peace. He was very highly regarded and is fondly remembered by all his former colleagues in Borris."

Another reads:

"Deepest sympathies to all the Curran family on the sad passing of Pat. May he rest in peace. Very fond memories working with Pat in Keenan’s he was always up to a bit of devilment for a laugh."

Funeral Arrangements.

Reposing at his residence Molaise Estate, Old Leighlin, Co. Carlow (Eircode: R93 Y422) on Thursday, 13th March, from 2pm until 8pm, with prayers at 7pm. Removal from his residence on Friday, 14th March, to arrive at St. Lazerian’s Church, Leighlinbridge for Funeral Mass at 11am. Burial afterwards in Leighlinbridge Cemetery.
