Tributes paid to Carlow who 'couldn't do enough for anyone' following his passing

P.J Fitzpatrick - Bilboa, County Carlow - Tuesday 1st April 2025

Tributes have been paid following the passing of P.J Fitzpatrick of Upper Tomard, Bilboa, Carlow.

P.J passed away peacefully, surrounded by his loving family on April 1st, 2025, at The District Hospital, Carlow.

Beloved husband of Liz, much loved father of Ann-Marie and Patrick, adored grandfather of Patrick, Colin and Archie and cherished brother of Mary, Margaret, Winnie, Anne, Brigid and Kathleen.

He will be sadly missed by his loving wife, son, daughter, grandchildren, son-in-law Ronan, sisters, brothers-in-law, sister-in-law, nephews, nieces, relatives and friends.

Tributes have been paid in the condolences section of Rip.ie and read as follows: 

"My deepest sympathy to Liz, Patrick, Ann Marie all PJ sisters neighbours and many friends on the sad passing of PJ A lovely gentleman always who couldn't do enough for anyone always in good humour and a pleasure to meet Rest in peace PJ you will be sorely missed."

Another reads:

"We would like to send our deepest sympathy to the Fitzpatrick family on the death of PJ to his wife Liz and his son and daughter and all his sisters May his gentle soul rest in peace."

Funeral Arrangements.

Reposing at Carpenters Funeral Home, Shamrock Square, Carlow, (Eircode R93 C863) on Friday, April 4th, from 2pm concluding with Prayers at 7pm that evening. Removal on Saturday at 1.15pm to St Fintan’s Church, Ballinabranna, arriving for Funeral Mass at 2pm. Burial afterwards in the adjoining cemetery.
