RIP: Tributes paid to Carlow woman who had a 'kind and caring nature' following her passing

Paula Chatten (née Byrne) - Mountain View, Pollerton, Carlow Town, Carlow - Thursday 19th June 2025

Tributes have been paid following the passing of Paula Chatten (née Byrne) of Mountain View, Pollerton, Carlow and formerly of Springfield Drive, Rathnapish, County Carlow.

Paula passed away peacefully at home, surrounded by her loving family on Saturday 21st June 2025.

Beloved mother of Kelvin, much loved daughter of Harry and Betty and cherished sister of Catherine, Dorothy, John, David, Niall and the late Mary Frances.

She will be sadly missed by her loving son, parents, brothers, sisters, brothers-in-law, sisters-in-law, Kelvin’s partner Micheala, aunts, uncles, nephews, nieces, extended family, relatives and friends.

Tributes have been paid in the condolences section of Rip.ie and read as follows: 

"I am so sorry to hear of the untimely passing of your lovely Paula.
I remember Paula fondly from the time she was my late mams hairdresser in Fringes. Her kind & caring nature endeared her to us all.
My sincere condolences to her son Kelvin, parents, brothers , sisters & her many friends who will miss her dearly."

Another reads: 

"Sincere Condolences to Paulas Son Kelvin & the Byrne family , relatives , and friends, on the sudden and untimely passing of Paula..May the good memories ye shared together be of comfort now and in the future Rest In Peace Paula Pat & Sandra Killeshin Road Carlow"

Funeral Arrangements 

Reposing at Carpenter Bros Funeral Home, Shamrock Sq., Carlow (Eircode R93 C863) from 5pm on Monday, June 23rd, concluding with Prayers at 7pm that evening. Removal from there on Tuesday morning at 10.30am to The Holy Family Church, Askea arriving for Funeral Mass at 11am. Burial afterwards in St Mary’s Cemetery, Carlow.
