Weather today (January 5) is expected to be mostly cloudy and windy with rain and drizzle in the morning and early afternoon.
That's according to Met Éireann, which also forecasts fresh to strong gusty southwest winds with gales near coasts.
Highest temperatures will be between 9 to 12 degrees.
Tonight will bring clear spells and well scattered showers, which will die out overnight, as well as lighter winds further south with lowest temperatures of 2 to 5 degrees.
