Strong and gusty winds are expected across the country today (January 12) with a chance of isolated thunderstorms and hail.
That's according to Met Éireann, which has also forecast some sunny spells with afternoon temperatures of 7 to 9 degrees.
Tonight, winds will gradually weaken to a fresh westerly wind, and showers will continue with some clear intervals.
A continued chance of hail or isolated lightning is likely, particularly in Atlantic counties.
Lowest temperatures of 3 to 6 degrees.
