Garda are investigating a criminal damage incident at Riverview Close, Carlow during which a car was set on fire.
The incident occurred shortly after 2am.
Gardaí are appealing to anyone with information or footage of the incident to contact Kilkenny Garda Station.
The extent of the damage caused to the car was not revealed by gardaí.
A similar incident occurred in Carlow in recent weeks after a car was set on fire at Park Green, Pheilim Wood, Tullow.
The car was doused in petrol and set alight.
The fire was extinguished prior to the arrival on the Fire Service.
Two men in dark clothing were seen fleeing the scene.
