A Carlow/Kilkenny hospital is among the top ten most overcrowded nationwide today (February 24).
That's according to the Irish Nurses and Midwives Organisation (INMO), which has revealed 21 patients are waiting for beds at St Luke's General Hospital this morning.
The hospital is the seventh most overcrowded in the country alongside Sligo University Hospital, with University Hospital Limerick taking the top spot (76 people waiting).
This is followed by Cork University Hospital (57 people) and University Hospital Galway (37 people).
Just four hospitals nationwide are free from overcrowding today, including Connolly Hospital, Midland Regional Hospital Tullamore, Nenagh General Hospital and University Hospital Waterford.
