Weather today (March 19) is expected to be cold and dry for most of the morning with hazy sunny spells for a time.
That's according to Met Éireann, which also forecasts outbreaks of rain and drizzle in the west and southwest, spreading eastwards across the country through the morning and afternoon.
Highest afternoon temperatures will be between 7 to 10 degrees with a moderate to fresh southerly wind developing in the afternoon.
Tonight will be cloudy with rain over the northern half of the country.
It will be drier further south with occasional patches of light rain and drizzle, gradually becoming milder with lowest temperatures early on of 5 to 9 degrees.
