CARLOW WEATHER - some drizzle expected today (April 16) but temperatures could reach 18 degrees

Carlow will enjoy some of the warmest weather in the country with temperatures set to reach 18 degrees later on Sunday afternoon.

It will be rather dull this morning with patchy drizzle and mist along with some fog - especially near southern coasts.

While some sunny spells will gradually break through, scattered showers will occur too. Milder than recent days with highest temperatures of 14 to 18 degrees, in no more than moderate southerly breezes.

In Carlow, it will reach 15degrees by 12 noon and reach a high of 18 degrees around 4 pm on Sunday afternoon.

Met Éireann predicts that it will be generally dry tonight though some showers will feed into southern counties later. Misty or foggy in parts too with a lot of low cloud persisting. Relatively mild with lowest temperatures of 8 to 10 degrees, in light southeast breezes.

Mostly cloudy on Monday with limited sunny spells and scattered showers moving up from the south. Highest temperatures of 13 to 17 degrees, best values away from southern and eastern coasts, all in light east to southeast breezes.
