Carlow named fifth most expensive student town in Ireland

It costs an average of €15,177 per year to study in Carlow

A SURVEY conducted by Switcher.ie has revealed that Carlow is the fifth most expensive town for students to live in.

A yearly total of €15,177, including, fees is what Carlow students are looking at forking out for their studies during each academic year.

The only towns and cities which were found to cost more were Limerick (€15,255), Cork (€15,970), Maynooth (€16,278) and Dublin where the cost is estimated to be €18,570 a year.

No matter the county, the cost of living for a student today is at an all time high and by the looks of things students won't be escaping paying less than €1,088 a month if they are lucky.
