Carlow player narrowly misses out on sharing mega Lotto jackpot

A Carlow player scooped more than €61,000 in Saturday's Lotto draw

A CARLOW player narrowly missed out on winning a share of Saturday's mega Lotto jackpot which totalled almost €13m.

The National Lottery has confirmed that players from Westmeath and Donegal scooped the highest Lotto jackpot prize of the year so far, sharing a staggering €12,747,756 between them.

The two players will each take home €6,373,878  - officially making them the 15th and 16th National Lottery Millionaires of 2023.

Separately, two players - one from County Carlow and one from Dublin - each scooped a prize of more than €61,000 after they matched 5 numbers and the bonus ball.

The winner from the Capital purchased their winning quick pick ticket on Saturday at Supervalu, Ballally Shopping Centre, Dublin 16 while the second winning quick pick ticket was sold at Circle K, Junction 5 in Rathcrogue, County Carlow.

The National Lottery is urging players in Carlow to check their tickets very carefully and there are advised to sign the back of their winning tickets and keep them safe.

All winners should make contact with the National Lottery prize claims team on 1800 666 222 or email claims@lottery.ie and arrangements will be made for them to claim their prize.
