More than 80 emergency calls answered by volunteers in Carlow so far this year

Volunteers in Carlow respond to more than 80 emergency calls so far this year

Killeshin Commuity First Responders are a group of volunteers who are trained and answer emergency calls in the community alongside the National Ambulance Service.

In the first 6 months of 2023, the group at Killeshin CFR received 83 calls from the National Ambulance Service for assistance.

The calls ranged in magnitude and included the likes of cardiac arrest, chest pain, choking and stroke.

The volunteers at Killeshin CFR continue to provide their life saving skills to help local communities throughout the year.
