Revealed: Greenway Funding for County Carlow reduced to just 40% of what it was in 2021

Deputy Cathal Crowe asked the Minister for Transport Eamon Ryan to reveal the total amount of funding allocated for the development of Greenway projects, by local authority since the formation of this Government.

As Minister for Transport, Ryan has responsibility for overall policy and exchequer funding in relation to Active Travel and Greenways.

The funds allocated to County Carlow this year totaled €60,000, the same figure as 2022.

In 2020 and 2021, Carlow was allocated a total of €150,000. This is a decrease of €90,000 for Carlow in recent years.
