SPORT: Carlow local will compete as Vice Captain in the International Wheelchair Hurling Open this week
Carlow local Melanie Griffith will compete as Vice Captain of the Irish team at the 2023 Prague Wheel Open Floorball International this week.
According to Carlow GAA, Melanie is originally from Paulstown but now lives in Bagenalstown, Carlow.

The 2023 Wheel Open Floorball International takes place this week from 10th- 12th August in Prague.
The Irish squad will compete against teams from Czech Republic, Netherlands, Sweden and Switzerland.
Uachtarán CLG Larry McCarthy wished the Irish team the best and said “Wheelchair hurling is a skillful game that lives up to the motto of the GAA being a place ‘Where We All Belong’ and is really going from strength to strength.”
