Confusion as Iceland shop in Carlow keeps shutters down in sudden closure

Iceland store in Carlow Town did not open their doors today, Wednesday 23rd August which has caused confusion with locals.

This comes after staff from the Waterford City Iceland store were given just 30 minutes notice before the store closed last night.

SIPTU has called for an immediate meeting with the examiner responsible for Iceland supermarkets in Ireland over outstanding entitlements to wages, holiday pay and redundancy pay

Iceland SIPTU members occupied the store on the Cork Rd. Waterford City in a response to a sudden closure of their workplace.
