Pieta call on local Carlow businesses to join in support of suicide prevention
Pieta, Ireland’s national suicide prevention charity, operate in 20 locations across Ireland and offer free counselling to those suffering from suicidal thoughts and to people who are engaging in self-harm.
The organisation recently launched their ‘Go Amber’ fundraising campaign and they are inviting SMEs and communities across Carlow to join in support of suicide prevention.
The campaign will kick off on World Suicide Prevention Day on 10th September and run until 10th October, coinciding with World Mental Health Day.
Stephanie Manahan, Pieta CEO said, “Our ‘Go Amber’ Campaign aligns with World Suicide Prevention Day and World Mental Health Day. This year the theme for World Suicide Prevention day is ‘Creating Hope Through Action’ and by rallying Irish SME’s and communities we are showcasing the remarkable impact the collective action can achieve. We invite businesses of all sizes to join us, engage in fundraising events, donate generously, and help spread awareness of Pieta’s crucial services by connecting with local communities and creating hope through action.”
