Carlow County Council, in partnership with Carlow Community Enterprise Centres, receive green light to convert the property into a Community & Enterprise Centre
The green light was given for the planned development of former Presentation Convent in Bagenalstown, County Carlow.
Planning permission was granted by Carlow County Council on 28th August 2023.
Carlow County Council in partnership with Carlow Community Enterprise Centre intends to develop the former Presentation Convent into a Community & Enterprise Centre which will be known as Presentation House, Bagenalstown.
The development will comprise of works on the existing building and a 30 sq. m. section of the building at the South-East corner is proposed to be demolished to facilitate traffic movements to the rear parking area.
The windows and doors will be replaced for improved energy performance.
New raised letter signage to identify the main entrance and the secondary entrance to Tyndall Hall has also been proposed alongside associated services including landscaping and boundary treatment
An Environmental Impact Assessment (EIA) Preliminary Examination, and an Appropriate Assessment Screening, for the proposed development have been completed and are available for inspection.
Any submissions or observations in relation to the proposed development were submitted before 10th July 2023.
