A planning application was made to local authorities for the change of use and internal alterations of existing retail space and Post Office on High Street, Leighlinbridge to provide a ground floor residential unit with all associated works.

The ground floor retail/commercial unit is presently occupied and in use as a Post Office and retail space.

The Planning Authority are concerned that the proposed change of use has the potential for negative impacts on the vitality and viability of Leighlinbridge Town Centre through the loss of an existing and currently occupied retail/commercial use.

The applicant is requested to submit further information to authorities to address this matter before any decision is made.
