SETU Carlow to showcase student projects at National Ploughing Championships

SETU Carlow will showcasing the University’s expertise at the National Ploughing Championships from Tuesday 19th September to Thursday 21st September.

Around 300,000 people are expected to attend this year’s National Ploughing Championships in Ratheniska, Co Laois.

There will be a range of engaging activities at the SETU marquee, including interactive games and puzzles. Visitors can also try out a Watt bike, participate in competitions to win spot prizes, learn about the beer brewing process, and even enjoy mocktails with a live demo. 

SETU will showcase its technological strengths with demonstrations from Bengie, the telepresence robot, a USV drone boat, sumo bots, and various student projects. 

Representatives from a wide variety of disciplines including sport science, nursing, computing, design, engineering, land sciences, science, humanities, and business among others will be on hand to answer questions about SETU. 

SETU’s stand will be located at block 3, row 18, stand 306.
