The proposed apartments will include 4 apartment blocks
THE PROPOSED apartments, if approved, will be built at the junction of Green Lane, Staplestown Road and Pollerton Road in Carlow Town Centre.
The application, made by Shamrock Square Limited follows a pre-planning meeting with the council on March 22 and reflects the discussions that were had.
The application contains 23 extensive documents which outline the details of the plan to demolish existing structures on site including a vacant commercial unit and a laundrette.
The proposed apartments will include 4 apartment blocks proposed to be from three to five storeys high with each apartment ranging from one to two beds each.
The complex is also proposed to contain a communal courtyard, 16 car parking spaces and over 70 bike parking spaces.
A decision will be made before the end of the year.
