Wrapped RTE Enda Bowe
Carlow actress Ella Lily Hyland stars in new RTÉ2 project airing next week. Ella stars in 'Wrapped', one of three new twenty-five minute dramas as part of 'Storyland'.
Written by Tracy Martin, directed by Mia Mullarkey, produced by Claire McCabe and starring Ella Lily Hyland (Amazon Prime’s Fifteen Love) and Lauryn Canny (Normal People, Dating Amber), Wrapped airs on Thursday 19th October at 10.30pm on RTÉ2.
The drama centres on Lisa and Ali who are intent on getting through airport security with thousands of euro worth of cocaine strapped to their bodies. The show explores the complexity of relationships and female friendships - as first time drug smugglers they’ve no choice but to trust each other.
The story was developed as a stage play which premiered at the Dublin Fringe Festival and recorded as an RTÉ radio play; garnering nominations for the prestigious Stewart Parker Award and the BBC Radio Drama Awards.
The other two upcoming Storyland dramas are 'The Cousin' airing on October 26th and 'Falling for the Life of Alex Whelan' on November 2nd.
