Construction to commence shorty to improve pedestrian safety at Gores Bridge

Carlow County Council, in collaboration with Kilkenny County Council, are working on a scheme to improve pedestrian safety at Gores Bridge.

The historic Gores Bridge spans the River Barrow and it is a vital part of the town's transportation infrastructure with both vehicular and pedestrian traffic.

Following a successful trial in October, the Active Travel Team has announced the progression of this scheme to enhance pedestrian safety into its construction phase, which is due to begin shortly.
