Friday 8th December:

Carlow Rose Centre have organised a Christmas Fundraiser to help Carlow Rose Caoimhe riase funds for her charity trip to Poland in February. all donations are in aid of Happy Kids and Chernobyl Children International. The event will take place in Fairgreen Sjopping Centre on Friday from 9am to 4pm. Every donation has the chance to win a deluxe hamper.

The second day of the Student Enterprise Christmas Market at the Exchange, Carlow Town will take place today from 11am.

Volunteers are needed for Carlow Rotary Club's Remembrance Tree from Friday 8th December until Sunday 24th December between 11am - 1pm, 1pm-3pm, and 3pm-5pm. Contact Carlow Volunteer Centre on 059 9173033

Borris Lace Exchange will host an exhibition in Borris House which will be launch from 5pm to 7pm Friday with Cathaoirleach Cllr. Andrea Dalton and broadcaster Olivia O'Leary. The exhibition will remain open Saturday 9th and Sunday 10th from 11am to 4.30pm.

Idrone Drama will perform "Many Happy Returns" by Bernard Farrell in Borris Town Hall from 8pm. Tickets cost €12 and are available at the door.

Gerry Guthrie and his band will perform at the Woodford Dolmen Hotel for his Christmas party night. The event costs €60 per person which includes a four course meal, wine reception and all entertainment. Call 087 3334336 for more information.

Tully's Bar Carlow have released their Christmas song 'Starting To Feel Like Christmas' featuring local musicians Dave O'Neill, Jake Doyle, Dale Bolger and Aaron Geoghegan. You can stream the song over on Spotify and iTunes.

Saturday 9th December:

This years Christmas market in Borris Town Haul will take place on Saturday from 10am to 4pm.

Carlow Choral Society's Christmas Celebration takes place at 8pm Saturday. The choir will sing festive Christmas carols at the Cathedral of the Assumption. There is a patronage fee of €25 per person.

Helter Skelter will perform live in Ewings Bar.

Sunday 10th December:

Bagenalstown Lighfest Christmas Fair will take place on Sunday from 4pm. There will be fireworks and much more. Book in advance on Eventbrite

Carlow Voices presents 'Winter Vibes' concert in St Mary's Church of Ireland (R93 YW77) on Sunday from 4pm.

Waterlilies will host an evening of wine, song and speech on Sunday from 6pm to 9.30pm. There will be live music, poetry, short stories and more. Tickets cost €5 and can be purchased on Eventbrite
