Local Carlow whiskey distillery are seeking to expand their premises

Local distillery, Royal Oak Distillery, are seeking to expand their premises.

Royal Oak Distillery distils all three types of Irish whiskey (pot still, malt and grain).

Royal Oak Distillery Ltd submitted a planning application to Carlow County Council for the construction of a new single-storey detached laboratory and office (43sqm) and for lower tier CoMAH status on its Clorusk Lower site located in Bagenalstown, Co. Carlow.

Holloden Royal Oak is a protected structure, RPS ref. CW46 (NIAH No.10301620).

The application was submitted on Wednesday 20th December and is still at pre-validation stage, meaning no expected date for a decision is available yet.
