Prized Irish jockey makes appearance in Seven Oaks Hotel Carlow

The Seven Oaks Hotel Carlow announced on social media last week that a prized Irish jockey made an appearance at the local hotel.

Tipperary-born, Rachael Blackmore now lives in County Carlow.

Blackmore has many major wins under her belt and was named the 2021 RTÉ Sports Person of the Year and the BBC World Sport Star of the Year after becoming the first female jockey to win the Grand National in the 182-year history of the race.

The Seven Oaks Hotel said, 'We were honored to have the legendary Rachael Blackmore in our hotel yesterday. She is amazing and such a lovely lady. Our staff were very excited to see her.'
