IKEA to open new Plan and Order Point in Carlow
Global furniture retail company Ikea is set to open premises in Carlow next month.
A new Plan and Order Point will be located in the Fairgreen Shopping Centre in Carlow Town in the old GameStop premises which shut down in May 2023 after many years in business.
The new Plan and Order Point is a smaller store where there is a specific focus dedicated to kitchen and bedroom planning.
However, in store customers can find help and expertise to help them to design any room in their home.
Products from across the full IKEA range can be ordered in the new store for delivery to the customer’s home or a location of their choice.
The initiative comes as part of IKEA’s national expansion adding to the Plan and Order Points, to make it easier and more accessible to shop with IKEA.
Recruitment for the Carlow store is under way. A QR code can be found on the signs outside where the new Ikea unit will be that people can scan if they would like to apply for a job.
