WEATHER: 'Outbreaks of rain' Wet weather shift on the cards in Carlow

A light westerly breeze and highs 8 to 10 degrees.

Met Éireann have provided their daily weather forecast for County Carlow and surrounding areas.

Dry spells across the county before a wet weather shift comes later in the day.

Firstly looking at Met Éireann for today:

"Rather cloudy this morning with outbreaks of light rain slowly clearing with some sunny spells developing later. Cloud will return however later this afternoon. A light westerly breeze and highs 8 to 10 degrees."

Tonight:

"Cloudy with outbreaks of rain, clearing away later this evening with clear spells developing tonight. A little chilly too with lowest temperatures of 1 to 3 degrees with some mist patches."

Tomorrow:

"Sunny spells and scattered cloud from early in the morning with just a few showers. The showers will gradually die out in the afternoon with longer spells of sunshine developing in a northwesterly breeze. Highest temperatures of 7 to 11 degrees."

Thursday Night: 

" Rather cold with a touch of frost possible in the east. Turning cloudier from the west overnight with few showers for western areas. Staying mostly dry further east with lowest temperatures of 2 to 7 degrees, coldest in the east, in moderate westerly winds."
