Has Christmas come early, or have the supermarkets gone a bit mad?
Halloween hasn't even come and gone yet but the shelves in Aldi in Carlow, and around the country, are already in the Christmas spirit as the chocolate Santa's, Christmas puddings, mince pies, and more are already packed to the gills.
Year on year we have seen Christmas creep in earlier, but as it's only the middle(ish) of September, is this a step too far?

Looking at the treats that come with the so called "silly-season", we were once excited and overjoyed to get our hands on a huge box of roses that we were only allowed to open on Christmas week and apparently cost up to £30 back in the day.
Now it all seems less special, more mass produced, and void of any real chocolate flavour. I can't help but think that the chocolate spilling off those shelves will be gone bad by the time Christmas actually does roll around, or that there are a sleigh-full load of preservatives in them - which make them taste bad in the first place?
Do you think it's to early for the Christmas stock to come out?
