101 social and affordable homes to come on the market in Carlow by end of this year
Carlow County Council has revealed it aims to deliver 101 social and affordable homes across the county by the end of 2026.
In a post on Facebook, the local authority announced that between 2021 and 2025, 557 social and affordable homes were made available in the county.
It stated that delivery will continue this year by developing "sustainable, high-quality homes and building vibrant communities for the people of Carlow."

Construction is already underway on 50 properties and more projects are expected to get underway in the coming months, according to KCLR.
Carlow County Council is also said to have earmarked a number of vacant and derelict properties that are to be brought back into use this year.

"Our continued focus is on developing and acquiring quality and sustainable homes and building communities that meet the needs of people in the county of Carlow," the post on Facebook stated.
If you are in need of housing or cannot afford it on your own, you can apply to the local authority for housing support.
Your application will be assessed on a number of factors including household size, household income, your present accommodation (if any), the condition of that accommodation, and any special circumstances such as age, disability, and medical circumstances.
