Storm Chandra has hit County Carlow with strong winds and heavy rain which has brought his levels of flooding across the region.
Seven areas, including roads and a park, have been forced to close in Carlow as Storm Chandra rips through the county.
Carlow Weather has since shared a devastating story of an elderly lady who has been greatly affected by the storm.
The 84-year-old woman's home located near Carlow in Graiguenamanagh has been completely flooded with water.
The post has received a huge amount of attention from people in Carlow who are devastated and angry over the lack of flood relief and support for incidents such as this one in Carlow.
The post says: "I was asked to share this video of an 84-year-old grandmothers house in Graiguenamanagh, Co. Kilkenny which flooded today.
"More flood relief is badly needed in Graiguenamanagh and many other areas. Over years Ministers have visited and made promises but not delivered".
Nearly 200 people commented on the post in the first few hours, with a huge amount of people shocked at the video shared of the poor lady's home.

One person said, "Poor woman so sad. Hope she gets the help she needs. Something seriously needs to be done about the flood defence around the country it’s a priority that’s not being taken seriously".
Another person said: "Condolences to the misfortunate woman. I hope someone fixes this.. must be distressing. I can't imagine...God help her".
