RIP: 'True gentleman'- Funeral held in Carlow for beloved husband and father of six

Funeral held today in Carlow for a beloved husband and father after he passed away unexpectedly in hospital.

Larry Kehoe was from 74 St. Mary’s Park in Carlow Town and died on March 17th 2026 at St. Luke’s Hospital, Kilkenny.

Larry was the beloved husband of Carol and much loved father of Laurence, Kieran, Ken, Alan, John and Lauren.

Sadly missed by his heartbroken wife, sons, daughter, brothers Syl and Johnnie, sisters Ann and Sylvia, daughters-in-law Doreen, Kelly, Amy, Nikita and Gemma, son-in-law Connor, his 17 grandchildren, two great-grandchildren, brothers-in-law, sisters-in-law, aunts, nephews, nieces, relatives and friends. Predeceased by his parents Syl and Nancy and by his brother Paddy.

Funeral Arrangements:

Reposing at his home on Sunday (March 22nd) from 2pm to 7pm. Removal on Monday morning to the Church of the Holy Family Askea to arrive for funeral Mass at 11am. Burial afterwards in St. Mary’s Cemetery.

Family flowers only, please. Donations in lieu to St. Luke's Hospital ICU

Heartfelt messages have been left on RIP.ie, from those who knew and fondly remembered Eileen, with one mourner writing,

"Deepest sympathy to Carol and all the extended Kehoe families on the sad passing of Larry who was a true gentleman, he was always ready to oblige and lend a helping hand no matter what the circumstances were. I know he will never be forgotten. Go ndeana Dia trocaire ar a anam uasal".

Another message said, "Deepest condolences to Carol, Larry's children and the extended Kehoe family. Larry was a lovely man. It was a pleasure to have known him. May he rest in peace".

"My condolences to all the Kehoe family at this very sad time. I've known Larry since I was a child. He was a gentleman and all the Kehoe family were all so good to me and my brother John I'll never forget it. RIP Larry you will be sadly missed by many," another person said.
