Carlow Gardaí conducted a checkpoint in Graiguecullen on July 14 and seized two cars for having no valid road tax.
Three more cars were seized at Ballinacarrig.
Carlow gardaí advised motorists to "make sure you check that your insurance, NCT, road tax and driving licence are up to date".
